Shalom all!!!
We have a GOOD news for ya'll. Semester break is coming soon, so what's the plan. No plan? Boring? No fret, cuz we'll be having a GATHERING, which will involve all colleges around Shah Alam. Something like smaller version of ICG... but we call this Inter-CSS of Shah Alam- gathering. The universities / colleges which involve are, UiTM of Shah Alam, INTEC, MSU+PTPL, UNISEL, SIME DARBY.
So what's the objective again??
1. to gather all members from various CSS in Shah Alam area.
2. to introduce the CSSes to the Church of Divine Mercy.
3. to create the integration between CSS under Church of Divine Mercy.
4. to create and strengthen the link between each CSS under the Church of Divine Mercy.
What about the THEME?
The theme will be "SHOUT FOR JOY TO THE LORD" (PSALM 100).
Why this theme is chosen?
This theme is chosen to encourage students from CSS to be actively involved in the church, rather than staying passively in campuses or in current places.
"SHOUT" is one of the way to express one's feeling. Sometimes we need to shout to something that we believe in, or what we stand for. By shouting at the right time and place, people may listen to us, and pay attention to our action.
"SHOUT FOR JOY" in Psalm 100, we want to encourage members to act and express their longing to serve in the church. Nowadays, churches in Malaysia lacks youth's involvement probably because the church is not fun as they want to be. By giving the youth chances to express their feeling and make the service in church become enjoyable, youth will be more eager to get involved in church's activities. This may help young students to become active in church activities.
By adding the phrase "TO THE LORD" makes this theme complete, where students may do activities/programs in such a way that they are doing this for the Lord. Being active in church may help the growth of faith in students' life as well as keeping it alive.
So people, what are you waiting for?? Siok bah nie!! Kita aramaitie bersama Yesus.
