The New Helm of CVS SA (2012/2013)

Backdated on July 23, 2012, CVS SA had been organized an event called Annual Grand Meeting (AGM). The purpose of this AGM is to select a new helm for the CVS SA for the term 2012/2013. It means that CVS SA is going to have a new leader for the term 2012/2013 after being led by Sylvister Jalong (previous president of CVS SA for the term 2012/2013). This election focuses ONLY on a new President and Vice President of CVS SA.

A little bit info regarding on how the new president and vice president is being chosen. The next helm of CVS SA is usually chosen among the members who had been an exco before. This is to make sure that the new president and vice president know how the society is being managed and organized based on the previous leadership. Then, the election will be made and the new president and vice president are chosen based on the most votes of the members during the AGM.

For this term (2012/2013), our new President goes to Jesuah Jimmy and Vice President is Ristommoyo Tain. Congratulations to both of them and hopefully their leadership will be able to bring something new for the society especially to the members. May the wisdom and powerful leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ will be passed through them.

AGM + Final Blessing Mass 2012

Pada 23 Julai yang lalu, CVS Shah Alam telah mengadakan AGM dan Final Blessing Mass di rumah CVS yang terletak di Seksyen 2, Shah Alam. AGM dan Final Blessing Mass pada kali ini adalah bertemakan Filipi 4:13 “Segala perkara dapat kutanggung di dalam Dia yang memberi kekuatan kepadaku”. Sedikit info tentang AGM kali ini adalah untuk memilih president dan vice president CVS SA yang baru untuk semester depan manakala Final Blessing Mass adalah untuk memberkati students yang bakal menghadapi peperiksaan akhir bagi semester ini dan juga students yang telah berada di semester akhir masing-masing (final semester and final year). 

Majlis berasaskan kepada tentatif yang dirancang sepatutnya bermula sekitar jam 4pm tetapi disebabkan cuaca yang kurang baik dan kebanyakan members masih belum sampai maka terpaksa ditunda ke jam 6pm. Dengan itu, Final Blessing Mass didahului dan diikuti oleh AGM. Misa kali ini telah diraikan bersama Fr Michael Raymond dan para students. Majlis bermula tepat jam 6pm setibanya Fr Michael di rumah CVS.

Misa berlangsung agak-agak 1 jam 15 min, tamat dalam jam 7.20pm. Selepas tamatnya Misa, Fr. Michael telah memberkati para students semester akhir dan diikuti dengan pemberian cenderamata untuk Fr. Michael oleh Program Director Final Blessing Mass iaitu oleh saudari Dyone.

Selepas itu, majlis diteruskan dengan AGM oleh president CVS SA term 2011/2012 selaku Program Director. Majlis bermula sekitar jam 8pm dengan sedikit ucapan terakhir dari beliau, Mr Sly (president CVS SA). Selepas itu, sesi penyerahan sijil-sijil untuk para exco bagi term 2011/2012 juga telah berlangsung yang diserahkan oleh saudara Bro. Joe dari CDM.

Majlis semakin bertambah hangat apabila bermulanya sesi memperkenalkan bakal-bakal president bagi term 2012/2012. Bermula dengan sesi memperkenalkan diri dan seterusnya sesi pengundian. Rata-rata para pengundi agak kebingungan dalam melilih siapa yang paling layak untuk menerajui CVS SA dan tidak lupa juga sebagai pemimpin kepada students di UiTM Shah Alam dan juga UiTM Puncak. Tetapi syukur dan puji Tuhan sebab majlis berjaya berjalan dengan lancar sehingga pengumuman president dan vice president yang baru. Tahniah diucapkan kepada president dan vice president CVS SA yang baru.

Selepas penamaan president dan vice president yang baru diikuti dengan penyerahan fail oleh mantan president CVS SA iaitu Sly dan juga Rayner (vice president) nya, majlis diteruskan dengan makan-makan. Para students dijamu dengan pelbagai jenis hidangan yang cukup mengenyangkan oleh para tukang-tukang masak bertauliah CVS SA. Syabas juga diucapkan kerana hasil usaha gigih mereka. Makan free sepa yang indak mo kan? Hehe.

Bagi AGM dan Final Blessing Mass kali ini, CVS Puncak (Alam dan Perdana) telah bersama dengan kami. Mereka telah dijemput khas bagi memeriahkan lagi majlis tersebut dan dengan julung kalinya dan pertama kalinya CVS Puncak telah mengikuti AGM dan Final Blessing Mass dengan CVS SA. Ternyata cinta kasih Tuhan begitu agung dan besar sekali disini sehingga mereka dapat menghadirkan diri ke majlis tersebut walaupun pelbagai rintangan yang mereka hadapi terutamanya dari segi transportation. Puji Tuhan sekali lagi.

Annual Camp 2012

Pada 23 - 25 April 2012 yang lalu, CVS UiTM telah mengadakan Annual Camp. Annual Camp ini adalah gabungan dari 3 UiTM iaitu UiTM Shah Alam, UiTM Puncak Alam dan UiTM Puncak Perdana. Annual Camp ini julung kali diadakan setelah 3 tahun tidak dilakukan. Yeah, we rose again from the death dan juga julung kalinya dengan gabungan 3 UiTM. Annual Camp kali ini dilakukan di The Farm, Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan selama 3 hari 2 malam. Bertemakan "Falling In Love Again" (Romans 12:2).

4:00pm: Instructions from Camp Coordinator

4:30pm: Expectations, Aims, Icebreakers

5:30pm: Session 1: Living in a Loveless World! (Reality Check)

6:30pm: Self-preparation 

7:15pm: Dinner

8:15pm: Energizer

8:30pm: Session 2: Created in His Likeness & Love! (Self-Awareness/Esteem)(Group Discussion)

10:30pm: Supper, Fellowship

11:00pm: Taize Prayer (Night Prayer)

11:30pm: Good Night

On the first day, pelajar dari UiTM Puncak Alam dan Puncak Perdana yang paling awal tiba di rumah CVS. Sebelum bertolak ke The Farm, peserta perlu mendaftar diri masing-masing (di rumah CVS juga).

Selepas sesi pendaftaran, peserta mengambil masa untuk bersuai kenal bagi yang baru kenal. Ni just mau cari kawan baru macam tu bha tu sebenarnya. Belum lagi masuk sesi dalam Annual Camp. After that before bertolak ke The Farm, peserta lunch dulu di rumah CVS.

The journey to The Farm took for about 2 hours from Shah Alam. So, semasa dalam bas macam-macam karenah ada hehe. Ada yang tidur, ada yang bergosiping, ada juga yang mau knal2 lg. Nah, ini dia The Farm.

Sepanjang camp itu ada speaker yang bersama-sama join and bagi talk bagi certain sesi. Speaker yang kna jemput tu Martin Jalleh (MJ). Suma suka sama dia sebab ada sense of humors time bg talk. Pandai buat lawak and etc hehe.

Team Building 2012

The exco of CVS UiTM Shah Alam has held a team building on 9-11/03/2012 at The Church Of Divine Mercy. This team building purpose is to rebuild and to strengthen the bonds between exco as well as to arrange and discuss the future events and activities for CVS. Here are some of the activities from day 1 until day 3.

Day 1:

- Station of the cross

- Opening prayer and briefing

- Ice breaking

Day 2:

- Morning Prayer (Praise and Worship)- Theological reflection: experience of God in relation to the Bible (Bro Lamhot)

- Games

- Capacity building (Amanda Leonie)

- Rearrange activities

- Dinner

- Movie screening (We reflect and do the analysis of the movie. Movie title: Facing the Giants)

Day 3:

- Morning Mass

- Empowerment, ministries assignation

- Off to CVS House
