Welcoming Gathering update.

Sorry for the late update people, busy with assignments and test all so I’m denying technology for awhile. But, in any case, let me update you with the latest CSS activity, WELCOMING GATHERING! Welcoming gathering is held every semester to welcome the juniors from Sabah Sarawak who further their studies in UiTM and besides to introduce them to our CSS community. As usual at first, the occasion was a little bit sombre, but later on it turns out greatly fun with loud cheer from juniors & seniors. Also present, Kennedy and Caroline, ex CSS members.
Here are some pictures to show the joyfulness of that day.

Surprise!!!

In Css, besides conducting activities, the house is also a centre providing a wide variety of recreational, social and welfare services for students. We come together to foster fellowship and to strengthen the bond of friendship between us and others.

For that reason, on 12 August 2008, last Tuesday, with the co-operation of members of Majapahit Group, the house opposite CSS, organized a surprise birthday party for Amyx and Aweng. Thank you Boni and Jack for sponsoring the delicious cheese cake and KFC, it's finger licking good. Happy birthday Nanak and Aweng! We love you!

Reach Out!

On 31st July 2008,

Lissa and I decided to make our first step to change, to reach out to the juniors and other CSS members. By knocking door to door of each Christian names we saw on the door. Ms Monica gave us the idea and actually, she gave us that thought long time ago, but there was no implementation. A marvelous idea if did not put to action is of no use.

Me and Lissa showing off the welcoming gathering flyer and name list of juniors.

That is why some of the previous gathering did not achieve its objective in bringing more juniors to the community. Thanks to the seniors who prayed for us before we head our way to Kolej Mawar. And we knock and knock and found some juniors, and there are some girls who don’t know any nearest church. Just imagine that if no one would go and knock their door, how they would know the existence of a Christian community exist CSS-SA in section2. Church is the place where believers can love, encourage, serve, honour, be kind and compassionate to one another. We are like a foreigner in west Malaysia, and if we live in isolation without the support of this kind community, our individual inspirations and interpretations can lead us wildly astray.

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honourable we treat with special honour. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honour to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part is rejoices with it. (1 Corinthians 12:21-26)

We must live in community because God wants us to respond to the unclear longings of our time with a clear answer of faith.

A believer will never reach full spiritual maturity without the assistance and encouragement of other believers. My life changed when I found this community, so can you.

Yes, it is tiring, but no sweat, the song Jangan Lelah inspired us.

jangan lelah bekerja
di ladangnya tuhan
roh kudus yang bri kekuatan
yang mengajar dan menopang

tiada lelah berkerja
bersamamu tuhan
yg slalu mencukupkan akan
sgalanya

ratakan tanah bgelombang
timbullah tanah yang berlubang
menjadi siap di bangun dia atas dasar iman x2

We must live in community because the spirit of joy and love gives us such an urge to reach out to others that we wish to be united with them for all time.
